Picked up a rental car from Budget rent-a-car in South Melbourne yesterday, and got a great deal. I used oodles.com for the quote for melbourne city depots, and found all five rental firms were around $80-$90 for one day. Its school holiday at the moment so i can understand that the car hire prices are high, but [...] Got lucky when picking up my rental at Sydney airport the other day. Had booked a Hyundai Getz but got upgraded to an Audi A4. Man that is a cool car to drive. Leather bucket seats, dashboard looks like airplane, and lots of grunt for effectively a small car.
